What or Who Inspires You from the Past?

My Mom is my hero...she raised 4 children, primarily by herself, and we weren't and easy bunch to raise! She did it during a time when it wasn't "politically correct" to do so, but she managed it and we all turned out pretty good considering what we put her through! Quite honestly, I'm surprised we are still in one piece ;o) Finally, I admire all of the people who dared to stand up to those who would have us believe that the color of your skin, or the origin of your name, or the gender who you chose to love had to meet the approval of those who were considered to be the moral majority, and for those who saw something valuable in the contributions of women, and who insisted that they could do so much more than just cooking and cleaning...our planet is a better place for having those who would buck that system and show all of us a better path to follow!!
